The surgery is set to go at 6:30 a.m. I am having a pelvic floor repair done, as well as a partial adductor release on my right side. The surgeon who is doing the procedure is known for developing a method for restoration, and has done the surgery on several people I know with success. He did mention that a part of the ball and socket joint in my hip may be more prone to impingement/labral stress, but that the main issue with certainty is the Rectus Abdominus detachment from my pelvic bone.
This has been relatively stressful for me in that until this afternoon I didn't know whether this would be classified as a Sports Hernia (Athletic Pubalgia), or whether he would say that nothing there is nothing discernible in the region. It's been a major matter of concern as running simply has not felt comfortable or fluid in a long time, and I view this injury as being the end of my competitive days in running sans resolution.
This may sound completely strange, but I'm rather glad that surgery was the prescription.
